Improved Learning Facilities Turned Over to Bunawan NHS-Annex

BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR – As part of its ongoing education support, Philsaga Mining Corporation (PMC) turned over a newly constructed one-unit, two-classroom school building to Bunawan National High School-Annex in Barangay Consuelo on July 4, 2025.

The project, amounting to Php 1,041,922.87, was funded under the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) for Calendar Year 2025. It aims to address the growing classroom needs of the school and provide a more conducive learning environment for students.

The turnover was held in conjunction with the installation of the school’s new head teacher, Ms. Jannyvel M. Vista. In her acceptance message, she extended her gratitude to PMC and its partners, stating,

We appreciate the efforts by the construction team and all stakeholders involved in delivering this project. Rest assured, we will utilize this in delivering quality education.

In support of the project, Punong Barangay Hon. Gregorio B. Maloloy-on of Barangay Consuelo pledged to provide free morning transportation for students from Purok Kalingayan, making it easier for them to get to school and reducing the daily expenses of their families.
