PROSPERIDAD, AGUSAN DEL SUR -- Cheers and Claps erupted at the Datu Lipus Macapandong Event Hall as the brave and spirited Emergency Response Team of Philsaga Mining Corporation and Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation clinched the Overall Champion during the BFP Caraga Regional Urban Fire Olympics 2025 on November 19, 2025.

With pride and honor, the Emergency Response Team embodies the values of TIGER spearheaded by Engr. Clement M. Chiu, Engr. Renan N. Bronio and Emergency Preparedness and Response Officer Reymart M. Go, with the collaboration of the Rosario Bureau of Fire Protection, headed by FSINP Shirley P. Erlina, and the acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Agusan del Sur, and Station OIC SFO3 Marian P. Tumlos, made their way to the top during the competition. After a month of intensive and rigorous training, the Tigers bested and emerged as champions for the Industrial Category during the Group Yelling, The Ultimate Fire Volunteers(TUF-V), Flammable Fire Extinguishment, Community Fire Buster, and Blazing Showdown competitions among the three provincial representatives of Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.

The competition displays the real purpose of being gathered for the competition as Vice Governor Patricia Anne Plaza gave the inspirational Speech representing Governor Santiago Cane Jr. “Today’s Regional Urban Fire Olympics is therefore more than competitive ready, it is a laboratory of excellence, it serves as a proving ground where capability is displayed, readiness is measured, and discipline is pro fined.
