BASIC OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (BOSH) TRAINING

The Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation (MMPRC) recently held an in-house BOSH Training from 19 to 23 January 2026 at the Mill Safety Training Hall through its Safety and Health Department. This mandatory 40-hour course is specified by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) under Rule 1030 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.

Building on this requirement, 25 employees from various departments attended the training, which was facilitated by Engr. Ferdinand O. Agtarap, PME, who served as lead instructor, and Engr. James Patrick D. Mayol, REE, assisted as co-instructor. Both are DOLE-accredited Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Consultants and trainers. Bringing extensive professional experience and expertise in occupational safety, health management systems, and risk prevention.

The BOSH program is a comprehensive training module for manufacturing companies. It provides employees with the skills to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls—preventing accidents and loss of productivity. By reducing incidents and improving safety awareness, the program supports employee well-being and protects company resources. Through ongoing education and a robust Safety and Health Management System, MMPRC fosters a safe and productive workplace for all.
