Malnutrition is a persistent problem in many communities in the Philippines, particularly among children. To address this issue, a Public-Private Partnership (PPA) worth Php 100,000.00 was implemented from the 1st to 4th quarter of the year in Brgy. Consuelo is to provide quarterly supplemental feeding to 30 malnourished children.
The PPA aimed to provide nutritious meals to the children, and the initiative was implemented through the collaboration of the local government unit, the Department of Health, and the private sector. The children were carefully selected and monitored to ensure that they received the necessary nutrition to address their malnourishment.
The quantifiable and expected result of the project was to improve the health and well-being of the children, prevent further complications from malnutrition, and promote responsible and equitable nutrition practices.
The implementation of the PPA for supplemental feeding was a success. The support provided to the malnourished children not only addressed their immediate nutritional needs but also promoted responsible and equitable nutrition practices. The partnership between the public and private sectors was a model for future initiatives that aim to support and improve the health and well-being of Filipinos, particularly the most vulnerable members of society.
