ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR — The Safety and Health Department – Mill Section successfully conducted an Earthquake and Chemical Spillage Drill at the SAGMILL area, reinforcing the company’s commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness. Led by CEM Section Head Engr. Renan N. Bronio, the activity complied with Chapter X, Section 49, Rule 638 of DAO 2000-98, the Mine Safety and Health Standards, and the company’s approved Annual Safety and Health Program for CY 2026.

Employees from various departments actively participated in the drill, which aimed to assess the effectiveness of emergency response, evacuation, communication, and chemical/cyanide response procedures. The Philippine Red Cross – Agusan del Sur Chapter, led by Efren G. Cabardo, CSR DMS, evaluated the exercise.

The successful activity highlighted the importance of preparedness, coordination, and prompt response in ensuring employee safety during emergencies.
