ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR — Philsaga Mining Corporation celebrated the 52nd National Nutrition Month on 30 July 2026 at the PMC Mill Covered Court with the theme
The celebration opened with an inspiring message from Admin Division Manager, BGen. Maurito L Licudine (Ret), who encouraged employees to embrace healthy living and environmental responsibility. Employees then energized the crowd through a Zumba session before attending the Nutrition Month IEC led by PMC Medical Director, Dr. Randolph M. Lala. During the session, he emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, balanced eating habits, and their role in improving overall health and productivity. Throughout the event, the PMC Medical Team also conducted a free medical check-up for employees to promote preventive healthcare and wellness.

Employees from various departments also participated in the Healthy Baon Challenge and Nutri Booth Contest, where they showcased affordable and nutritious meals as well as creative exhibits featuring the Go, Grow, and Glow food groups—represented by Philsaga High School: Mr. Jeric Dela Cruz, Vice Principal; Mr. Richard V. Consigna, Senior High School P.E. Teacher; and Ms. Ferlyn Mae Payapaya, MAPEH Teacher—judged the competitions.
The Exploration Department emerged as champion in the Healthy Baon Challenge, followed by the Mill Maintenance Department in second place and the ICT Department in third. Meanwhile, the Materials Control Department successfully defended its Nutri Booth Contest title for the fourth consecutive year, completing a grand slam. The Exploration Department placed second, followed by the ICT Department in third and the Mill Maintenance Department in fourth.
The celebration highlighted Philsaga Mining Corporation's continued commitment to promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and environmental stewardship while encouraging employees to make wellness a shared responsibility in the workplace.
