Access to safe and potable water is a fundamental human right, yet millions of people around the world still lack access to it.  In Brgy. Poblacion, BADS, the lack of accessible drinking water has been a long-standing problem. However, this changed when the Performance Partnership Agreement (PPA) for the WATER REFILLING PROJECT was implemented from July to November 2020.

The Php 900,000.00 PPA investment aimed to construct water refilling stations in Brgy. Poblacion was managed by the respective community associations.  The goal was to address the issue of accessible drinking water and also provide additional income to the members of the association.

The PPA implementation was a success, with water refilling stations being constructed in various locations in the community.  This enabled residents to access clean and safe drinking water easily, without having to travel long distances to find it.

The Water Refilling Project also provided additional income to members of the association who managed the refilling stations.  This extra source of income helped improve the financial status of the community and enabled them to support their families better.

The PPA investment also had a positive impact on the environment by reducing the amount of plastic waste generated from single-use plastic bottles.  This was achieved through the use of refillable containers, which reduced the number of plastic bottles used and discarded.  It also provided an additional source of income for the community.
