Farming is a vital sector in many rural communities, and small-scale farmers often face challenges in accessing agricultural resources and equipment to improve their productivity.  To address this issue, the Public-Private Alliance (PPA) invested Php 300,000.00 to upscale the enterprise operation of farmers in Brgy. Nueva Era, Agusan del Sur.

The project, conducted from July to September 2020, focused on purchasing ten (10) units of water pumps to be used as a business enterprise operation. Farmers could rent out these pumps to other farmers in the area, improving access to water resources for irrigation and crop cultivation.

The impact of the project has been significantwith farmers in Brgy. Nueva Era as they are now able to improve theirproductivity and generate additional income by renting out water pumps. The investment has also helped to strengthen the local agricultural sector and promote sustainable economic growth in the area.

Moreover, the project has provided an opportunity for farmers to collaborate and support each other, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.  The enterprise operation of pump rentals has also created new employment opportunities, benefiting families in the area and contributing to poverty reduction efforts.

The PPA's investment in upscaling the enterprise operation of farmers in Brgy. Nueva Era demonstrates the power of public-private partnerships (PPP) in driving meaningful change and improving the lives of those in need.  By providing access to essential resources and promoting entrepreneurship, the project has helped to empower small-scale farmers and strengthen the agricultural sector, the PPA has contributed to a brighter future for the people of Brgy.
