
Barangay Poblacion Receives Over Php 750K Worth of Community Projects
ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - Three community development projects worth a total of Php 753,744.83, funded by Philsaga Mining Corporation, were officially turned over to Barangay Poblacion, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, on August 4, 2025. The turnover marked another milestone under the company’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) aimed at improving basic services in host and neighboring communities in the municipality of Bunawan.
The completed projects included the Rehabilitation of the water source for the Barangay Poblacion Women’s Association’s Water Refilling Station (Php 50,000.00), the Installation of 19 Units of Streetlight (Php 403,744.83), and the Rehabilitation of the Barangay Health Station (Php 300,000.00).
During the ceremony, Punong Barangay Hon. Antonio A. Barrios delivered an emotional message of gratitude, recalling how the SDMP fund started at only Php 89,000.00 in 2013. He commended Philsaga for its consistency and growth in support, which has allowed the barangay to implement projects that directly benefit the community.
The event was attended by BLGU Poblacion, residents, Barangay Health Workers, and Philsaga’s Community Relations personnel led by the TLCR Manager, For. Gladess Dianne S. Buot.
