Philsaga Mining Corporation Extends Support to 13 Schools in Bunawan and Rosario

BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR – Thirteen (13) elementary schools in Bunawan and Rosario received learning equipment on May 8, 2024, at East Bunawan Central Elementary School (EBCES). Through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), the Philsaga Mining Corporation successfully turned over computer sets with accessories worth Php 454,935.00, aiming to aid schools affected by recent floods. The head teachers from the two municipalities, along with Ms. Estefa P. Balbuten, the Public School District Supervisor of Rosario, gratefully accepted the new computer set. This initiative aims to provide modern learning tools to learners and mentors, uplifting education and fostering resilience in the face of adversity.

Biodiversity Management Bureau - Caraga (BMB- Caraga): Pilot testing for Reference Ecosystem and Biodiversity Expenditure Tagging

This activity supports DENR Administrative Order No. 2022-04, which requires mining companies to designate 5% of their approved tenements as Biodiversity Reference Ecosystems.
