Religious Group Brace by Philsaga's Support through SDMP Initiative

BUNAWAN AGUSAN DEL SUR – Today, the Community Relations Office, through Philsaga Mining Corporation's SDMP, handed over 709 monoblock chairs to various religious sectors in Barangay Bunawan Brook & Sr. Sto. Niño Chapel of Barangay Consuelo, Bunawan, ADS. This initiative addresses the growing attendance during church activities, with monoblock chairs chosen for their durability and low maintenance. The turnover ceremony was attended by Hon. Gregorio Maloloy-on, Sr., Punong Barangay of BLGU-Consuelo, and Hon. Emelio Saberdo, Punong Barangay of BLGU-Bunawan Brook, alongside Community Relations personnel and representatives from each religious sector. A simple chair handover symbolized community solidarity and interfaith harmony, that brings joy and gratitudes.

PMC Holds Three-Day Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign to Strengthen Emergency Response Readiness

The program featured structured discussions, hands-on evaluations, and simulation exercises designed to reinforce practical skills aligned with the company’s core values of Growth. Including Standard First Aid (bandaging, lifting, and CPR), discussed by Mr. Reymart M. Go and Mr. Christian Jay T. Baliad; proper operation of fire extinguishers and hydrants, facilitated by Mr. Louvibel R. Taganas and Mr. Julius S. Blanca; and communication, discussed by Mr. Laurence L. Sandoval. Following the activity, 23 employees from PMC and its service contractors Nitro Pacific Rockworks, Inc., Unicenter, Mount Rock Powder Corporation, Orica, Prime, and Optijobs Manpower Agency received certificates. They were recognized as certified PMC First Emergency Responders.

Second External Surveillance Audit

ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - The 3-day audit successfully concluded on March 14, 2024, and the retention of its ISO 14001:2015 Certification from Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) was conducted by auditors Engr. Arnel D. Guevarra and Ms. Ofelia B. Domingo. The audit thoroughly evaluated the company’s management system in demonstrating the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. Attended by the company’s key personnel PMC Vice President – Engr. Ferdinand A. Cortes, PMC Senior AVP/Resident Manager – Engr. Alvin B. Castaños, PMC Division Managers, and the rest of the EMS Working Committee actively participated in the audit process.

Medical Mission in Nueva Era through SDMP By: Community Relations Office

Philsaga Mining Corporation, through its Social and Development and Management Program (SDMP), successfully turned over a check worth Php 150,000.00 to the Barangay Local Government Unit of Nueva Era in support of the Medical Mission in barangay Nueva Era, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur on June 11, 2024.

PMC continues its week-long Women’s Month Celebration

ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - PMC’s Human Resources Department held a tree planting activity on its third-day celebration of Women’s Month in the Katipayan area on March 20, 2024, with the assistance of Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Office (MEPEO) personnel. Women from different departments joined to plant trees, contributing to environmental sustainability. The activity aims to honor the contribution of women to society through this green and clean environment.

Philsaga Mining Corporation Fire Prevention Month 2024 Kick-Off

BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR – On March 2, 2024, the Philsaga Mining Corporation TIGERS joined the Kick-Off and Opening Ceremony for the Fire Prevention Month of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Bunawan Municipal Quadrangle. With the theme “Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, Di ka nag-iisa,” the celebration aims to promote a united and fire-free community. In relation to the fire prevention month spearheaded by SFO3 Benedicto C. Function Jr. PMC will also launch the company-wide celebration of fire prevention competitions with the active participation of the employees and personnel starting this March 8-21, 2024, organized by the Compliance and Emergency Management section.
