5TH ANNUAL REGULAR GENERAL ASSEMBLY of PGECC MPC

On March 21, 2026, the PGECC Multipurpose Cooperative, the cooperative exclusive to regular employees of the Philsaga Group of Companies, successfully held its 5th Annual Regular General Assembly Meeting, marking another milestone in its continued growth and development. Eager members started arriving even before 11am to register and participate in the meeting. Around 500 members attended in person. The Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Marie Glenn Cedeño-Sorila, presided over the meeting. Each of the Committee Heads presented their reports to update the general membership on the cooperative’s performance in 2025 and inform them of plans for 2026.

Ortez, LCE ASC, a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), and the American Concrete Institute, led with an in-depth discussion on Dam Safety Management and Monitoring. Emergency Response Planning and Coordination session, highlighting the need for clear communication, quick decision-making, and teamwork during potential dam-related emergencies. Participants also learned about early warning systems and proper evacuation procedures. Following this, Mr. Retche B. Banasia, a Senior Science Research Specialist, discussed the Salient Features of the DENR Administrative Order No. 99-32 or the Policy Guidelines and Standards for Mine Wastes and Mill Tailings Management.

Swift Response of MMPRC Emergency Response Team and LGU's to the Flooded Victims

Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur - The Emergency Response Team of the MMPRC (Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation) provided assistance in rescue and evacuation operations led by the Bayugan 3 Local Government Unit. The team, which included the Search and Swiftwater Rescue Unit, promptly responded to the LGU's request to evacuate families residing in low-lying areas of the nearby barangay due to flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall.

"Our objective is to enhance the vigilance and response capability of our personnel, particularly their ability to recall critical details under stress," Gregorio stated. "Observation accuracy and dependable memory recall remain core elements of effective security operations." The highlight of the training was a simulation of checkpoint inspections applying the Plain View Doctrine, during which participants were evaluated on their ability to detect suspicious indicators, articulate observations, and deliver accurate descriptions under time-sensitive conditions. The successful conduct of the ODEX and Memory Training underscores PMC's unwavering commitment to maintaining a disciplined, observant, and operationally capable security force—one fully prepared to safeguard company personnel, assets, and premises.

Philsaga Mining Corporation takes part in the FPIC Preliminary Conference

ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - On May 27, 2025, Philsaga Mining Corporation conducted a Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) Preliminary Conference as part of the requirements for the renewal of Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) No. 262-2008-XIII Amended and Exploration Permit Application (EXPA) No. 0000255-XIII. The event was held at the Community Information Center, Padigusan, Sta. Cruz, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.
