ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - As part of its continued commitment to strengthening the capabilities of its Security and Enforcement Group (SEG), Philsaga Mining Corporation (PMC) hosted a specialized Improvised Explosive Device (IED) orientation and live detonation demonstration on June 5, 2025, at the SEG Office. The training formed part of the ongoing License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP) program, with the Philippine Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Battalion serving as guest trainers.

BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR –SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY: With its dedication to striving for zero lost-time accidents while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations, which aims for continual improvement, Safety and Health Department in robust implementation with Compliance and Emergency Management, Philsaga Mining Corporation continues its Information, Education and Communication (IEC) as the inauguration of the activities for PMC Safety Day 2024 held at Nitro Contracting Services(Old Motor pool) last April 16. Hundreds of PMC employees and service contractors crowded the engaging IEC with its games and quizzes. The section also gives merchandise to the winners, which makes the participants enjoy the activity and makes their learning even more special. The section will carry on with its events and IEC campaigns throughout the year.

echnical expert, Engr. Joel T. Ortez, LCE ASC, a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), and the American Concrete Institute, led with an in-depth discussion on Dam Safety Management and Monitoring. Emergency Response Planning and Coordination session, highlighting the need for clear communication, quick decision-making, and teamwork during potential dam-related emergencies. Participants also learned about early warning systems and proper evacuation procedures. Following this, Mr. Retche B. Banasia, a Senior Science Research Specialist, discussed the Salient Features of the DENR Administrative Order No. 99-32 or the Policy Guidelines and Standards for Mine Wastes and Mill Tailings Management.

On September 18, 2023, in a collaborative effort with the Agusan Del Sur Parole and Probation Office, PMC (Philsaga Mining Corporation) organized and conducted a tree growing and site maintenance activity at the Sinug-ang Relocation Site. This joint endeavor focused on reforestation and resulted in the successful planting of 350 white lauan seedlings and 50 grafted rambutan seedlings.

The first cycle of the EMS Internal Audit for 2025 was successfully conducted over ten days, led by Engr. Shailene B. Padogdog and Engr. Mark Angelo M. Agustin as lead auditors.

On September 8, 2023, the company was invited to the 1st Caraga Regional Tripartite Congress 2023, where labor related issues and concerns were brought to light and discussed. It was also during that prestigious event that individuals and private sectors were awarded for their commitment in ensuring safety and hazard-free working environment.
