MMPRC Strengthens Barangay Health Services with Turnover of Medicines and Medical Apparatus

Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation (MMPRC), through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), turned over essential medicines to Barangay Wasian and medical apparatus to Barangay Libuac at a ceremony on March 13, 2026. The initiative enhances healthcare delivery in these communities. It provides Barangay Wasian with essential medicines for common illnesses and equips Barangay Libuac with medical equipment to improve emergency response and routine health services.

A Celebration of Love: Philsaga Valentine’s Special

Philsaga Mining Corporation gathered its employees at the Mines and Mill Covered Court on February 12–13, 2026, to celebrate love, wellness, and unity through a meaningful Valentine’s program. The Human Resources Department, together with the company’s PMH-Medical Team, led the two-day event to strengthen camaraderie and promote workplace health awareness.

The Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation (MMPRC) proudly marks a major safety milestone after achieving Zero Loss Time Accidents for the Calendar year 2025. This achievement reflects the collective participation and strong commitment of both employees and management in upholding safety standards and maintaining a safe, healthy workplace for all. As a gesture of appreciation, recognition tokens were awarded to all departments, led by the Safety Manager, Engr. Clement M. Chiu and CEM Section Head Engr. Renan n. Bronio, in recognition of their unwavering dedication and leadership in promoting workplace safety.

PMC Holds Three-Day Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign to Strengthen Emergency Response Readiness

The program featured structured discussions, hands-on evaluations, and simulation exercises designed to reinforce practical skills aligned with the company’s core values of Growth. Including Standard First Aid (bandaging, lifting, and CPR), discussed by Mr. Reymart M. Go and Mr. Christian Jay T. Baliad; proper operation of fire extinguishers and hydrants, facilitated by Mr. Louvibel R. Taganas and Mr. Julius S. Blanca; and communication, discussed by Mr. Laurence L. Sandoval. Following the activity, 23 employees from PMC and its service contractors Nitro Pacific Rockworks, Inc., Unicenter, Mount Rock Powder Corporation, Orica, Prime, and Optijobs Manpower Agency received certificates. They were recognized as certified PMC First Emergency Responders.

STRENGTHENING SECURITY PROTOCOLS: PHILSAGA CONDUCTS ADVANCED ODEX AND MEMORY TRAINING FOR SECURITY PERSONNEL

"Our objective is to enhance the vigilance and response capability of our personnel, particularly their ability to recall critical details under stress," Gregorio stated. "Observation accuracy and dependable memory recall remain core elements of effective security operations." The highlight of the training was a simulation of checkpoint inspections applying the Plain View Doctrine, during which participants were evaluated on their ability to detect suspicious indicators, articulate observations, and deliver accurate descriptions under time-sensitive conditions. The successful conduct of the ODEX and Memory Training underscores PMC's unwavering commitment to maintaining a disciplined, observant, and operationally capable security force—one fully prepared to safeguard company personnel, assets, and premises.

BASIC OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (BOSH) TRAINING

The BOSH program is a comprehensive training module for manufacturing companies. It provides employees with the skills to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls—preventing accidents and loss of productivity. By reducing incidents and improving safety awareness, the program supports employee well-being and protects company resources. Through ongoing education and a robust Safety and Health Management System, MMPRC fosters a safe and productive workplace for all.
