Fostering Faith and Unity through SDMP Initiatives
ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - Demonstrating the company’s commitment to spiritual and community development, Philsaga Mining Corporation turned over one (1) unit speaker and a set of musical instruments—including a guitar and a drum set—for the benefit of Our God Reigns Church and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Purok Kilobidan, San Marcos, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.
In addition, the company funded the Improvement of the Assembly of God Church in the same barangay, amounting to Php 90,000.00. Both initiatives were implemented through Philsaga’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) and aim to strengthen the role of religious organizations in promoting faith, unity, and moral values within the community.
The turnover ceremony was attended by Hon. Ronalyn A. Otero, Punong Barangay of San Marcos, residents, and Philsaga’s Community Relations personnel.
Pastor Bernalito Huerta of Our God Reigns Church expressed his gratitude, saying:
“Dako nakong kalipay nga niabot na gyud ang usa nako ka pangandoy nga makadawat aning mga instrumento. Nagpasalamat gayud ko nga naapil mi sa budget sa Philsaga, og dako pud nako nga pasalamat sa barangay, ilabi na kay Kapitan Otero nga naapilan mi ani.”
