BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR – On July 16, 2026, Philsaga Mining Corporation turned over five community projects worth Php 881,247.01 to Barangay Poblacion, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).

The projects include the construction of a Primary Evacuation Center in Purok 3C Tagbuaya (Php 200,000.00), gravelling of the Farm-to-Market Road in Purok 7 (Php 100,000.00), repair and improvement of the Satellite Health Center in Purok 2 Hubang (Php 150,000.00), repair of the Church Roofing of Jesus Christ the Living Rock Church (Php 131,247.01), and the Installation of Solar-Powered Street Lights in Puroks 2 and 2A Hubang (Php 300,000.00).

The initiatives are expected to address the priority needs of Barangay Poblacion by improving access to basic services and strengthening community facilities. They likewise contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting good health and well-being, resilient communities, and sustainable local development.

In his message, Punong Barangay Hon. Antonio A. Barrios expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the company for its valuable contribution to the development of Barangay Poblacion through the SDMP. He likewise assured that the barangay, together with its residents, will continue to value and preserve these projects even beyond his term as Punong Barangay.
