Rising from the Ashes: Philsaga Distributes School Supplies to Davao Fire Victims

21-C, DAVAO CITY — In response to the affected students who were left with nothing but ashes. The PMC-MMPRC Foundation, Inc. (PMFI) and Philsaga Press Corps Group, Inc. (PPCGI) team, led by Executive Director Reygela M. Decalit—under the Philsaga Mining Corporation— coordinated with Barangay Captain Joenard A. Grabillo to provide immediate relief. Over six hundred (600) packs of school supplies were distributed from Kindergarten to 6th Grade on November 20, 2025. This initiative is a statement on the value of education that no fire can burn, a support to their resilience to dream.

Dam Safety and Emergency Response Training Strengthens PMC-MMPRC Preparedness

Ortez, LCE ASC, a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), and the American Concrete Institute, led with an in-depth discussion on Dam Safety Management and Monitoring. Emergency Response Planning and Coordination session, highlighting the need for clear communication, quick decision-making, and teamwork during potential dam-related emergencies. Participants also learned about early warning systems and proper evacuation procedures. Following this, Mr. Retche B. Banasia, a Senior Science Research Specialist, discussed the Salient Features of the DENR Administrative Order No. 99-32 or the Policy Guidelines and Standards for Mine Wastes and Mill Tailings Management.

Threads of Empowerment: Libertad Women Rise Again

Since its founding in 2022 with 78 members, the association has made significant progress, with 14 women selected to undergo a 15-day training in dressmaking and tailoring. Funded with Php 30,000.00 through the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of Philsaga Mining Corporation (PMC) and carried out with the support of BLGU Libertad, the initiative aimed not only to provide new skills but also to build a stronger foundation for livelihood and sustainability.

Barangay Poblacion Receives Over Php 750K Worth of Community Projects

ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR – Three community development projects worth a total of Php 753,744.83, funded by Philsaga Mining Corporation, were officially turned over to Barangay Poblacion, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, on August 4, 2025. The turnover marked another milestone under the company’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) aimed at improving basic services in host and neighboring communities in the municipality of Bunawan.
